Angel Class

This guide is for Angels that use Staves. However, even if you choose to use a slashing, piercing, crusher, whip or bow, you are more then welcome to pm me on some pointers.
Also, if anyone needs any help on refining their gem pouchs, they are more then welcome to pm me for help.

Stats

Melee
Str - strength is important in both accuracy and max damage
Dex - dexterity, combined with strength, determines how often you hit.
Pst - physical stamina is needed for energy
What I would suggest here, is LEVEL MELEE. Its important. What is the point of having a staff, if you can not do any damage with it? str and dex are more important then pst. yes, pst is important, but, due to the lvl 20 and 40 skills, you can boost the max amount of energy you have, and not have to power up your pst to much.

Magic

Int - intelligence is crucial if you decide to use Direct Damage gems
Cnc - concentration is important for landing hits with all your DoT and Direct Damage gems
Mst - mental stamina is needed for energy
What I would suggest here, is definantly lvl cnc and mst, dont worry about int until you are ready to redistribute stats. Honestly, you won't really find any really stellar direct damage gems until you are closer to lvl 60.

Defense
Agi - agility is needed for when you are parrying attacks with your staff
Cnt - contravention is needed for when you are resisting gems
Dur - durability dictates how much hp you have
What I would suggest here, lvl durability to get your hp up, seeing how you dont have some of the armor class boosts that other classes get. Also, agility is important, means you will inevitably take less melee damage, if you can parry more often. Cnt is important, but I have 150 in cnt, and resist alot of gems. So I would suggest that as the cap that you lvl it up to.

Weaponry

Critical Strike - .25% chance to crit. At a skill of 100, you have a 25% chance to crit.
Overcrit - .33% increase to your max crit damage per skill. At a skill of 100, 33% increase to max crit damage.
Two Handed - .4% chance to crit. At a skill of 100, 40% chance to crit. If you have critcal strike and two handed added together, thats a 65% chance to crit.
Double Attack - .2% to hit twice. At a skill of 100, 20% chance to hit twice.
Crush Spec - .25% increase to max damage. At a skill of 100, 25% increase to max damage.
Smash - .1% to stun. At a skill of 100, 10% chance to stun.

Protection

Suiting
Parry - .2% chance (based on your combined Dex and Agi) to parry an attack. At a skill of 100, 20% chance.
Combat Recovery
Impedence - .1% chance to resist gems depending on your cnt. At a skill of 100, 10% chance.
Mirrored Blade - .25% chance to mirror any direct damage spell. At a skill of 100, 25% chance.
Combat Endurance
Combat Concentration
Banish Light - .15% chance to resist Life Magic gems. At a skill of 100, 15% chance to resist.
Grim Resolution - .15% chance to resist Death Magic gems. At a skill of 100, 15% to resist
Null Mind - .15% chance to resist Psych Magic gems. At a skill of 100, 15% to resist
Battle Mending - pairs with combat recovery, to increase you hp regeneration rate in battle.

Life Magic

Sorcery - Increases the amount of white and green gems that you can place in your pouch as well as .05% chance to resist life magic gems. At a skill of 100, you can place 50 white and green gems, as well as a 5% chance to resist life magic gems.
White Magic - this is the magic that your class bonus boosts. Stigmata, Gradual Repair, Healing Touch and Heaven's Glance are the ones I suggest using for the first part of the game.
Green Magic - this is where you get your Invigorates, Invigorating Cantrips, Wisp Life and Aura of Thorns. I would also suggest, later on, using the Antigenisis and Roots of Vengeance.
Mental Conservation - With a staff, you start of with a 35% decrease to the use of mana when casting, plus .15% decrease. At a skill of 100, a total of 50% decrease of mana used.
Healing - .4% increase to all direct heal gems. At a skill of 100, 40% increase.
Shared Bliss - .25% increase to all beneifical gems. At a skill of 100, 25% increase.
Eternity - .4% increase to HoT (gradual repair and sylvain restoration), continous heals (gaias blessing), continous mana and energy repairs (wisp lift and transcendence). At a skill of 100, 40% increase.
Palisade - .4% increase to damage barrier, damaging mirror and reflective gems (auras). At a skill of 100, 40% increase.

Death Magic

Staves - this is your main weapon skill. Also, with a staff equipped, you start out with a 25% decrease to energy used when casting, plus a .15% decrease. At a skill of 100, 40% decrease to energy used.
Sleight of Hand - with a staff equipped, you will start battle with the first gem slot in play. Also, a .1% chance to double cast. At a skill of 100, 10% chance to double cast.
Dark Patience - with a staff equipped, increases the damage and duration of all DoT gems by .5%. At a skill of 100, 50% increase.
Longevity - .5% increase to max energy. At a skill of 100, 50% increase. MUST HAVE A STAFF EQUIPPED
Everence - .75% increase to max energy. At a skill of 100, 75% increase.

Psych Magic

Mind Bending - Increases the amount of blue and grey gems that you can place in your pouch as well as .05% chance to resist psych magic gems. At a skill of 100, you can place 50 blue and grey gems, as well as a 5% chance to resist psych magic gems.
Blue Magic - this is where you get your Manaburst, Manaburst Cantrips, Transcendance, Balance, Gem Hate Aura and Aura of Reflection. Later on, I would suggest using, Damaging Cantrips, Discourage Jewelling and Incidental Redirection.
Grey Magic - for this one, I would suggest on using the Aura of Lucidity.
Wizardry - this skill is very important. At a skill of 10, you gain access to a second gem pouch, and at a skill of 50, you gain access to a third gem pouch. PLUS (and this part is HUGE) with a staff equipped, you start out with a 40% gem draw haste, plus .4%. At a skill of 100, 80% increase to gem draw haste.
Divination - with a staff equipped, you start off with a 10% energy and mana regeneration rate in battle. Also a .1% chance to start battle with a gem already in the draw slot from your pouch. At a skill of 100, 10% chance.
Gem Handling - at a skill of 10, allowed 2 of the same kind of gem in your pouch. at a skill of 20, three of the same kind. at a skill of 50, four of the same kind. Also, 1% chance to start combat with your auras located in slot 2, 3 and 4 of your pouch, already in play. At a skill of 100, 100% chance.
Replay - .5% chance to immediatly pull a new gem whenever a blue gem is put into play. At a skill of 100, 50% chance.
Perserverance - .5% increase to max mana. At a skill of 100, 50% increase. MUST HAVE A STAFF EQUIPPED
Mana Vault - .75% increase to max mana. At a skill of 100, 75% increase.

Now, I know that this is a very indepth look into the skills and their abilities. And in the magic slots (white, green etc) I gave advice as to which gems to acquire, but the way I see it, is if you have the info early on, you are better able to plan out how to build up your char.
